Is the ReSTOR® Lens Right for Me?
The ReSTOR® lens is one of the most popular premium lens implant options we offer at Brooks Eye Associates. ReSTOR® uses innovative multifocal technology to enable flexible focusing, allowing you to see clearly at near, far, and intermediate distances. The ReSTOR® lens is most frequently used during cataract surgery when the eye’s natural lens needs to be replaced. However, it can also be used to correct presbyopia in patients without cataracts.
If you have cataracts and/or presbyopia and want to improve your vision at all distances, you may be a good candidate for the ReSTOR® lens. Some of the benefits of ReSTOR® include:
- Reduced glare and halos at night
- Less dependence on reading glasses or bifocals
- Does not rely on your eye muscles
- Two lenses in one for consistent results
In clinical studies, 99% of patients with ReSTOR® could see well enough to drive without glasses, and 97% did not need bifocals or reading glasses to perform close work.
Our experienced Dallas cataract surgeon Dr. Brooks will carefully examine your eyes to determine whether or not ReSTOR® is the right option for you, or if a different premium lens implant would better suit your needs.
If you are interested in learning more about our premium lens implant options, please contact Brooks Eye Associates today or call (972) 736-9347 to schedule an appointment with Dallas cataract surgeon Dr. Dain Brooks. We serve patients in Plano, Frisco, and surrounding areas of Dallas, Texas.
