iTrace for dysfunctional lens syndromeDallas eye surgeon Dr. Dain Brooks is pleased to announce the addition of iTrace™ to our advanced eye care technology. Used in the diagnosis of dysfunctional lens syndrome (DLS), iTrace integrates wavefront aberrometry with corneal topography to isolate the internal aberrations of the eye. This allows Dr. Brooks to both properly diagnose DLS and to fully customize and plan each treatment, enabling us to provide you with the most effective options available.

Symptoms of DLS

The most common symptoms of DLS are increased difficulties reading and decreased nighttime vision. As with other age-related vision disorders, these symptoms will continue to progress each year and may eventually make daily tasks near impossible. To avoid these complications, proper treatment of DLS is necessary.

Dr. Brooks offers premium lens implants for the treatment of DLS due to their ability to mimic the eye’s natural lens and produce an overall improvement in vision. Which type of lens is right for your particular needs will be based on factors unique to you and discussed in greater detail during your treatment consultation.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of DLS, please contact Brooks Eye Associates online or by calling (972) 736-9347 to schedule a diagnostic and treatment evaluation today.
