Avoid a Gap in Your Medicare Coverage for 2026

Certain Medicare Advantage plans will be discontinued in select markets for 2026.

Recent updates from insurance carriers indicate that certain Medicare Advantage plans will be discontinued in select markets for 2026. This is a nationwide Medicare Advantage change that may affect how your overall health coverage is administered next year — not just your eye care coverage.

We want to assure you that our practice is not dropping any insurance plans.

However, if your current Medicare Advantage plan is being discontinued, you’ll need to select a new plan for 2026 to ensure your coverage continues without interruption.

What This Means for You

  • If you received an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) letter outlining your 2026 benefits, your plan is continuing and will automatically renew.

  • If you received a cancellation letter from your insurance company, your current coverage will end on December 31, 2025, and you will need to choose a new plan for 2026.

What to Do Next

  • You can review and compare available Medicare plans directly through the official Medicare website:
Visit Explore your Medicare coverage options
  • If you prefer personalized assistance, you may also speak with a licensed, independent Medicare broker. As an optional resource, The Heppner Group — an independent, licensed brokerage — is offering free educational consultations for individuals who wish to review their coverage.
    • Schedule a consultation (phone or video):  Click here to book a broker consult
    • Call The Heppner Group directly: (800) 943-5041
    • Tip: Have your Medicare card, current plan ID, list of medications, preferred pharmacy, and preferred doctors or clinics available for your consultation. If you’ve received a plan termination or non-renewal letter, please have it handy during your discussion.
