Types of Premium Lens Implants

During cataract surgery, the clouded natural lens of the eye is removed and replaced with an intraocular lens. This process allows for the complete removal of the cataract and when premium lens implants are used, may even address preexisting vision problems. Of course, every situation is unique and what you can realistically expect from your procedure is best determined during your surgical evaluation with Dr. Brooks.

Premium Lens Options

Dr. Brooks offers three of the most advanced lens implant options at our comfortable and modern Dallas location. These are:

  • Crystalens® – Crystalens uses the muscles in your eyes to adjust in response to signals from your brain. This type of lens has the potential to restore clear vision at all distances
  • Trulign® – Trulign is a Crystalens with the added benefit of an astigmatic correction component
  • Restor® – Restor is a multifocal lens implant designed to transition light between various focal points to produce optimal vision at a range of distances
  • Toric lenses – toric lenses focus light on a single point to help produce crystal clear vision. These lenses are ideal for patients with both cataracts and astigmatism

Dr. Brooks is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over a decade of experience matching patients with the most effective premium lens for their needs. To learn more or to schedule your appointment, please contact Brooks Eye Associates today.

Dr. Brooks serves Dallas, Plano, Frisco, and surrounding areas of Texas.
